I think wood can be sufficient for totems or sturctures without lateral forces if you double the material around the central routed parts and use multiplex as it doesnt degrade as much due to moisture absorbsion.

Use 1 inch PVC and try not to go past 20 inches with the lengths of pipe. Works great and little to no twisting with the moving head on top

That wooden base plate will fail that's why they use metal, wood can' handle the weight when tipping over... especially MDF.

Do you make your own monograms? If so what size do you recommend for this gobo?

Great review. I purchased the 15 inch versions, they sounded great but had a tendency to get extremely hot on the back panel, only at moderate volume. I was hesitant to use them at future events (DJ) so I recently purchased the ZLX BT-12’s, I’m excited to break them in tomorrow at a smaller function . Thanks again for the review.

Two of these will never EVER reach 200 people. Id say about 50 max. At low volume they're ok at home but as a gig speaker they have no power whatsoever. Put against Mackie Thumps they fail badly believe me.
